The BMW-powered racing sidecar outfit was part of the Genoa-based Quarto d'Altino team, winners of some 24 Italian championships. It was raced by a local rider, Stefano Leale. In a letter on file, dated 13th September 1991, Stefano Leale states that he built the machine together with his passenger Gian Piero Bidone, with whom he raced in the 1973/74 seasons and two races in 1975, always achieving good placings, even abroad. Apart from the paintwork, the sidecar seemed to Leale to be in original condition; two handles had been added for the passenger and no other changes were visible (our vendor had sent him some photographs). Leale sent two action photographs dating from that time, taken at the circuit of Magione and the Poggibonsi Castellina hill climb race in 1975 (copies on file).
